Le Longfrie Surgery
Dr Douglas Wilson MB ChB MRCGP DRCOG
is a family practitioner who holds surgeries at Queen’s Road as well as at the Longfrie Surgery.
He and his wife Dr Susan Wilson share a keen interest in the medical needs of third world countries.
They have four sons.
Dr Tonia Machin joined the Practice as a full-time partner on 1 May 2002.
She had been in GP partnership in England for 12 years but after spending a 6 month sabbatical in Guernsey in 2000 decided to move here permanently.
She is particularly interested in gynaecology, family planning and psychiatry and also has a postgraduate diploma in allergy and runs allergy clinics.
She has brought her three sons over to Guernsey with her and her interests in addition to their upbringing are tennis, circuit training, scuba diving, cookery and travel.
She currently sits on the management committee for the Practice.
Dr Mat Dorrian MB ChB MRCP(UK) MRCGP MCEM is based at the Longfrie surgery and has an interest in emergency medicine.
Despite getting married, buying a new house and having a baby daughter, Mat is still managing to find time to play top class local football!
Dr Tony Chankun BSc MB BS FRCGP DCH DRCOG joined the Practice in 1994 as a general practitioner with a particular interest in paediatric care. He is also a practitioner of modern acupuncture, a non-drug therapy popular with many patients.
As befits the Practice doctor who conducts diving medicals, he is a keen sailor and diver.
He is also very interested in all IT matters.
Dr Chankun consults at both Queen's Road and Le Longfrie surgeries and is currently Practice Chairman.
