Dr Hannah Laidlow MB BS LRCP MRCS was born in London and educated in medicine at the Middlesex Hospital. After house jobs, she drove to Nigeria and worked in a bush hospital there for 18 months. She returned to Britain and came to work in Guernsey as a GP assistant from 1974 until 1983. Then followed some time in the UK and the Middle East, but she has now returned permanently to Guernsey. Her main interests in medicine are general family medicine, women's health and family planning.
She has two very supportive sons and has just become a grandmother for the third time.
Dr Ruth Swainston MB ChB DCH DRCOG MRCGP originally from Yorkshire, she trained at Birmingham Medical School qualifying in 1996. She moved to Guernsey with her husband in 2002 and has been working at QRMP since September of that year. She enjoys all aspects of general practice but has a particular interest in children and women's health, as well as palliative care.
Since joining the Practice, she has had two children and now works part-time with much of her free time taken up with the fun and challenges of parenthood.
