Dr Mandy Du Feu BM DCH DFSRH MRCGP spent several years gaining experience of different hospital specialties and acquiring postgraduate qualifications whilst fulfilling this component of her General Practice training. She then spent four years as a ship’s doctor before completing her membership in the UK in 2010.
She joined the permanent staff at Queen’s Road after returning from maternity leave having been a locum at the practice prior to this. Her special interests are child health, obstetrics, gynaecology and family planning, and emergency medicine. She also works in A&E.
Being from Jersey she has not come far but decided to settle here in Guernsey to raise her family as her husband is local and she spent alot of time here whilst growing up and loves the island. Outside of work she enjoys sea swimming, skiing, walking and cookery.
Dr Gregor McEwan MB BS FRCS(p1) Dip Sports Med Lon is a full-time general practioner with a special interest in rheumatology / sports & exercise medicine and minor surgery. He has spent the last 12 years as a partner in South East London before moving to the lovely island of Guernsey and is now an Associate GP with a special interest in rheumatology / sports medicine and minor surgery.
In his youth he played rugby for Scotland u21's and London Scottish and cricket for Surrey c.c until a serious injury to his shoulder curtailed his sport at the ripe old age of 29!
He is married with one child and has a continued interest in music production and DJ'ing (electronica). Other loves are travel, reading, walking and parties…(in no particular order) and an unusual form of tennis due to his shoulder injury!
Dr Ruth Swainston MB ChB DCH DRCOG MRCGP originally from Yorkshire, she trained at Birmingham Medical School qualifying in 1996. She moved to Guernsey with her husband in 2002 and has been working at QRMP since September of that year. She enjoys all aspects of general practice but has a particular interest in children and women's health, as well as palliative care.
Since joining the Practice, she has had two children and now works part-time with much of her free time taken up with the fun and challenges of parenthood.
Dr Caroline Yates MB BS BSc (Hons) MRCGP DRCOG DFSRH LoC IUT LoC SDI
Originally from Derbyshire, she completed her medical training at King’s College London in 2007 and her postgraduate training in Kent and Oxfordshire. She moved to Guernsey in 2012 with her partner and is a full-time Associate GP. She works at both Queens Road and Le Longfrie Surgery.
She has specialist interests in obstetrics, gynaecology, child health, contraception and family planning. She also hopes to develop her interests in medical education and IT projects.
Outside of work she likes to keep fit, play tennis and squash, go swimming, jogging, cycling and travelling. She is enjoying settling into the Island, experiencing new cultures and meeting new people.
